Room 104: July 22, 2021

Arrived at approximately 3:45 pm and toured the Inn.  My husband swears up and down he didn’t move one of the pictures on the wall.  I fixed it.  We left for the riverboat dinner cruise and when we returned the other picture on the wall was crooked hmmm!  Maybe a visitor from the other side was welcoming us.  At about 4 am, my husband got up to go to the bathroom.  When he was done I could hear him walking around.  Then all of a sudden it got quiet but he didn’t get back in bed. I listened for a second, and then looked to see what he was doing.  He was standing facing the door with his head down.  I told him to get back in bed, but he did nothing. I went over to him and touched him on his arm and totally startled him.  He got back in bed.  Then, in the morning I told him the story and he totally thinks I’m lying.  Today (July 23) is our anniversary.  Let’s see what other strange things happen.  Stay tuned.  No unusual activity. On July 24 we went on the Old Savannah Ghost Tour.  We arrived back to the room to find a pad of paper on the floor, picture crooked and a baggie with lollipops under the bed.  Hmmm…somebody missed us and was welcoming us back.   P.S. My husband swears it wasn’t him.  I know it wasn’t me.   July 25 – Returned to room after a day at Tybee Island and found the interior room door unlocked, which I know I locked when we departed this morning.  Although nothing was missing, I found our stash of candy in the shelves next to the fridge had been rearranged and in a pile on the bottom shelf.  And again two pictures next to the stairwell door crooked at an angle.  Wife swears she did not do it.  Is it a sneaky ghost or a sly staff member???  July 26 – No unusual activity in the room today.  Although my husband had some fun appearing in the window outside the room giving the passerby’s a good laugh.  Dinner here at the Inn was the best we had all week.  If you want a chilling experience head over to Moon River Brewing Company and head to the basement.  I’ll let you determine if you feel, see or hear anything unusual.  What a great first stay at the 17 Hundred 90 Inn.  Best location, super staff,and some activity from the other side.  Awesome anniversary week!

• Riverboat great, but don’t do the buffet.
• 2-day Old Town Trolley a great way to get around and hear about Savannah.
• Old Savannah Ghost Tour was ok – I’d recommend the Old Town Trolley (I did this on another trip here)
• Eat dinner at 17Hundred90
• Ft. Pulaski & Lighthouse on Tybee Island – thumbs up!
• Check out river Street
