Room 105: May 24, 2022
Memorial Day weekend. On our first night in the room, the emergency alarm in the hall went off at 2:45am throughout the hotel. Staff mentioned that is was set off around room 206. Side note for power strips, do not turn off switch for lights by bed. 2nd day Saturday. Did hop of/off trolley- well worth the money! We are next to stop #8 so convenient to come back, take a break, or drop off items. Also did “Ghosts Trolley,” and it was only OK- we expected more. We did have fun waiving to the Hearse Ghost Tour next to Anna upstairs- the group got a kick out of that! Daytime trolley tour is a must to see the city and visit key sites! 3rd day- Sunday- Wormsloe historic site worth the 20 minute drive to see “ The Avenue of Oaks” and learn some colonial-era history. Checked out Bonaventure Cemetery on the way back- it was OK, if only to see resting place of Noel Jones from Wormsloe. Visited Colonial Park Cemetery, 5-10 minutes walk away, nice way to see a little more history. More walking- downtown, city walk, Riverfront. Had dinner at 17Hundred90 restaurant- very nice and a great way to cap a great weekend! Overall, we had a great time! This is a nice Inn in a great location- can walk everywhere, stop #8 on trolley. We will be back!
