Room 204: January 2, 2023
Happy New Year! We love the 17Hundred90Inn. My husband and I come to Savannah often and we always try to get a reservation here. This was my fourth stay at the Inn and my secondin in Room 204. I can honestly say there is activity here. In 2020, I met Anna in the bathroom. I didn’t see her, but I felt her presence. When she came to me there was an undeniable change in the air and I felt a strong electromagnetic charge all around me causing every hair on my body to tingle and stand on end. Then it passed and I realized Anna had just introduced herself. It was very unexpected and sweet- not frightening at all. This visit was mostly uneventful, except our first night. I was sound asleep on top of the covers when my left was yanked hard and woke me up. It was startling and a bit uncomfortable, but I figured it was a dream and went back to sleep. A little while later, it happened again, waking me a second time. Still half asleep, I didn’t connect it to anything paranormal, but in the morning I remembered the incident and told my husband. He is unconvinced that anything spooky happened, but I am not. It was very unnatural in the way my leg was jerked as I laid on my side with my knees drawn up. I can’t sweat it was paranormal, but I believe it was. And I don’t think it was Anna. Regardless, it’s been another wonderful stay and I have a story to take with me. Thank you to the staff-particularly Doug at the front desk, Grumpy (who is always a delight), and to Patty the owner who I had the pleasure of meeting with her little dog Fluffy. We can’t wait to come back and look forward to making even more memories with the living and the dead in Savannah. If you haven’t seen the photo of the ghost in the dining room mirror, make sure to check it out before you leave. It’s very interesting.
