Room 204: October 24, 2023
Hello Anna, I don’t think we had the chance to get familiar last night. We stayed from late Sunday night until Tuesday morning. Sunday night until Monday morning we slept so solid. I don’t even remember the last time I slept so solid. I enjoyed the cozy daybed, the regular bed and it’s comfy pillows, as well as the comby old man chair. I had a final to turn in Monday and stayed in half of the day writing. I felt ease writing and focusing in this room which has been a struggle for me these last 4 weeks. Last night (Monday evening) things were strange. I woke up in the middle of the night, felt very groggy and was alarmed. I can’t explain what happened other than I was woken up and very scared/alarmed but in hindsight, I can’t explain what it was. I tried turning and tried yelling my partner, Brandon’s name and barely managed to squeak his name, looked around and couldn’t see anything. I was so tired I fell back to sleep. Tuesday morning, I told Brandon my strange night and he said he didn’t hear me say his name, but he heard me scream twice in a row. He said he was trying to go to sleep then heard the sound and remembered seeing the tv static on the screen. He said he wasn’t sure if that really happened but he told me that’s what he remembers. When I was getting ready, I found my brush directly in direct front of the doll that we had in a blanket on the daybed. I remember bringing out the brush but it was on the blanket, perfectly on the blanket, in front of her. So, we say these were either things of our imagination or they are strange things that were caused by something other than the human. Thank you for the stay. In all, we loved it here.
Love, Robin W.
