We returned for another stay in room 204 (here last Oct. as well). As usual, the moment we step in to the room, we feel light headed & dizzy & increasingly so by the fireplace. No strange happenings the first night. On 2nd night, we place a palm rose we purchased on River Street on the fireplace mantel, and had a good night’s sleep . But, at 7:30am, my boyfriend and I awoke from a sound sleep, and at the same time said “What was that?” We had heard a loud noise, like a clapping sound. When he looked to the fireplace, the palm rose was on the edge of he brick on the floor, it had been standing up against the brick wall. By the depth of the mantle, there’s no way it could have fallen to the ground. We believe it was Anna up to her tricks, and pushed it off. No other happenings. Just another great stay at the 1790! Can’t wait to return. Oh, good luck to the folks staying tonight in 204 – It’s Halloween!
